You hear folks talk about hardship
I've been there from my youth,
Mountain climbs through terrible times
Just searching for the truth.

A high, a wow, a pretty girls smile
But not the answer I sought,
For in my heart was the spark
From the family I'd left distraught.

Those wonderful Johnson girls
As I listened to them laugh with glee,
I listened to tales of each one's trails
And my answer was plain to see.

It's love and respect for each other
Brings the truth in each others eyes,
And knowing you can make them smile
And cry when you say your goodbyes.

It's the love of friends and family
Gives my life such an added zest,
And those memories are my answer
For I know now I am blessed.
